Theories and physical laws are not mere equations. They really mean something about the material world we live in. The difference between Einstein and his predecessor, Newton, is a case in point. Newton described gravity as a force, while Einstein described it as curvature. Einstein’s general theory of relativity asserts that space and time are on a four-dimensional continuum known as spacetime. Mass warps the very fabric of spacetime like a basketball warping a rubber sheet. That’s all gravity is – warped space-time. As the late American theoretical physicist John Archibald Wheeler put it in 1990: ‘Spacetime tells matter how to move; matter tells spacetime how to curve.’
It’s not clear what supports the surface of the Earth according to the Hollow Earth Theory, since the surface of the Earth we can see would most likely collapse under the force of gravity without a substrate (the mantle and inner core are solid, the outer core is liquid, and both states are highly resistant to compression). Nor is it clear what keeps the denizens from floating away from the inner surface.
Other pre-20th century examples include Giacomo Casanova’s 1788 Icosameron, a 5-volume, 1,800-page story of a brother and sister who fall into the Earth and discover the subterranean utopia of the Megamicres, a race of multicolored, hermaphroditic dwarfs; Symzonia: A Voyage of Discovery by a “Captain Adam Seaborn” (1820) which reflected the ideas of John Cleves Symmes, Jr. and some have claimed Symmes as the real author; Edgar Allan Poe’s 1838 novel The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket; and George Sand’s 1884 novel Laura, Voyage dans le Cristal where unseen and giant crystals could be found in the interior of the Earth.

The information contained in Hollow Earth is interesting by itself. The work is acceptable as an english and history assignment. However, the author is nauseating as he continuously interjects far too many of his own ill-informed personal opinions on the subject matter instead of remaining objective as he presents his material. I would suggest that a little reading of physics might expand the author’s knowledge base, and the removal of said opinions might make it a great deal more readable. It is up to the reader, not this author, to assess the material and then form his or her own conclusions.
Symmes spent the rest of his life lecturing and lobbying for action. “In May 1829,” writes Collins, “Symmes died, believing right up to the end that the greatest discovery in human history had eluded his grasp.”
Halley also suggested that the interior of the Earth was populated with life and lit by a luminous atmosphere. He thought the aurora borealis, or northern lights, was caused by the escape of this gas through a thin crust at the poles.
Using a large telescope located in Chile, scientists have discovered a “hot spot” on Saturn’s south pole. It is about 10 degrees warmer than elsewhere on the planet as seen from the telescope. This is exactly what we would expect if Saturn has a south polar opening from which warm air is emanating from it’s hollow interior warmed by an inner sun. Actually, the same thing has been observed on other planets, including Jupiter and even Earth.
It’s just as the man said (“the man” being Dillon Ethier); this is some “long-form retro leaning instrumental prog rock” shit right here! Now, hear me out, if you like this, make sure you check out Mahogany Frog’s album ‘VS Mabus’ — Trust me! You’ll thank me later! Found this on Steven Effren’s page. Christopher Moklebust
Yet many arbitrary claims are unfalsifiable. A child’s claim that Santa Claus exists yet cannot be seen by any camera or scientific instrument is just that – unfalsifiable and thus untestable. Intellectually speaking, this is less like wearing a shield and more like wearing a millstone. Santa Claus, like Mars, is just a model – but one that cannot be refuted or retained.
Because established models become entangled with our sense of reality, doubting them is often an act of defiance, if not utter sacrilege. Today, of course, we know that Ptolemy was wrong. The heliocentric model introduced by the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus in 1543 places the planets in elliptical orbits around the Sun, and best explains the data (including retrograde motion). Moreover, we now know that planets are neither stars nor even spheres. The English physicist and mathematician Sir Isaac Newton was the first to realise that Earth and other planets are actually ‘oblate spheroids’, globes that are squished a bit at each pole due to their rotation.
If Einstein and Abdelkader seem to converge, it is in the use of geometry to undo the world as we know it. Einstein’s special relativity uses a simple tool known as the Lorentz contraction to describe the manner in which objects contract in length as they approach light speed. Developed by the Dutch physicist Hendrik A Lorentz in 1892, this tool calculates the contraction of fast objects using nothing more than junior high-school algebra. Abdelkader might have been inspired by the Lorentz contraction when developing his mathematical framework for Hohlwelttheorie. Just as Einstein hypothesised that objects contract as they approach light speed, Abdelkader hypothesised that objects grow smaller as they approach the centre of the hollow-Earth Universe. The beauty of mathematics glows in both models. Yet the light of science does not shine on Abdelkader’s model.
Hi: I heard about this way back in the 60’s. I found this whole “Hollow earth” to exist only in the Etheric dimension. The Etheric dimension connected to our physical body is the first energy body. It is part physical and part Astral laying between the two. I have found in my inner world travels this Etheric is a whole universe in itself. Now the thought occurred to me to see what the ET Bashar had to say about this, because even though they are who they are, no matter what your opinion of them is, they are still very very smart and have a broader perspective where they are than we do while in our physical body unless you can travel in the inner dimensions and even then, we all have different perceptions and interpretations of what we are viewing outside our physical selves. So Bashar said this:
‘Aeon’s combination of intelligence, integrity and flair is vanishingly rare – and I am very grateful for it. It is becoming an indispensable presence in the digital world for those who believe that ideas matter.’
The Hollow Earth theory is a pseudoscientific belief and conspiracy theory stating that the Earth is propagated by people whose skulls are hollow. Theories include that the inhabitants of the “Inner Earth” walk around the inside feet-up,[notes 1] or that a smaller sphere is inside the larger (sometimes it is stated this object works like a sun for the inner Earth denizens), which is more in line with the theory of gravity, though not geology.
Dr. Brooks Agnew, Founder of Advanced Planetary Explorations, LLC is the Scientific Project Director of the North Pole Inner Earth Expedition (NPIEE). By far the most innovative and courageous exploration effort in modern times. “We are unable to go to the Moon. We are decades away from manned exploration to Mars. This Expedition to the North Pole region is possible and within reach. There has never been a more exciting or appropriate time to visit this region of the Earth. The science is ready. The documentary film viewing public is ready. The mission is extraordinary enough to dominate documentary content for a strong feature release and bold enough to make history.” It is interesting to note that Brooks is the descendant of the Scottish explorer James Ross, who is credited with the discovery of the Magnetic North Pole in 1831.
Novelist Lobsang Rampa in his book The Cave of the Ancients said an underground chamber system exists beneath the Himalayas of Tibet, filled with ancient machinery, records and treasure. Michael Grumley, a cryptozoologist, has linked Bigfoot and other hominid cryptids to ancient tunnel systems underground.
The Big Short, the film adaptation of Michael Lewis’ book of the same name about the causes of the financial crisis, opens in UK cinemas this weekend. How will the story stack up against the greatest films about business?
Admiral Richard E. Byrd of the United States Navy flew to the North Pole in 1926 and over the South Pole in 1929. He referred to Antarctica as “The Land of Everlasting Mystery”. In reference to the North Pole he wrote: “I’d like to see that land beyond the North Pole, it is the Center of the Great Unknown.”
By the same token, Griffin has noted that accepting Abdelkader’s physics would make no noticeable difference to day-to-day life: ‘From a practical standpoint … we experience the Universe as Euclidean space with Earth’s surface or (occasionally) the Sun as our reference framework, and we can pass our entire lives without ever having to take an Archemedian perspective that views the framework itself.’ Like Newton and Einstein, Copernicus and Abdelkader strangely converge in the realm of the mundane.
Although not visually observable, the core of the Earth is observable via vibrations (primarily from earthquakes) passing from one side of the planet to the other. Using this method, geologists have been able to establish the structure of mantle, outer core, and inner core known today. A hollow earth would behave entirely differently in terms of seismic observations.
2/15/2015. The Universe is teaming with life. A leaked NASA video shows many UFOs flying out of earth’s atmosphere, and snap shots of the moon shows alien activity there also, including ours from the Apollo missions. Watch the video here.
Through the mid-2000s and into the early 2010s, Cluff was actually a part of a long-gestating expedition known most recently as the North Pole Inner Earth Expedition. Unfortunately after a number of setbacks including backers and members of the team falling victim to calamities ranging from cancer to fatal plane crashes, the expedition was put on hiatus. Had the expedition been successful, the team would have chartered one of the world’s largest ice breaking ships straight to the North Pole, where they would have attempted to contact the denizens of the Hollow Earth through the hole they believed they would find. Cluff believes that the various setbacks to the project are the work of the international banking conspiracy, but is hopeful that they will someday be able to get funding, and a new expedition leader to help continue the project.
L. Sprague de Camp and Willy Otto Oskar Ley in their book Lands Beyond dubiously claimed that the scientist Leonhard Euler(1707-1783) proposed a different hollow Earth scheme, but they provided no evidence of Euler’s scheme.
Chapel, bell tower and penitential beds on Station Island. The bell tower stands on a mound that is the site of a cave which, according to various myths, is an entrance to a place of purgatory inside the Earth. The cave has been closed since October 25, 1632.
For example, in J.W. Buel’s, THE WORLD’S WONDER’S, we read that in 1799, a fisherman of Tongoose, named Schumachoff discovered a tremendous woolly mammoth preserved in a huge block of ice clear as crystal along the banks of the river Lena that empties into the Arctic Ocean from Siberia. When some of these animals were opened up, undigested green vegetation was found in their stomachs indicating that these animals froze so quickly that only shortly before they froze they had been able to find green vegetation to eat not too far distant from where they fell into the ice and were frozen. Olaf also explains in his book that the inner earth rivers that empty into the Arctic Ocean within the North Polar Opening is the origin of most the fresh-water icebergs that cover the Arctic Ocean. Many Arctic explorers noticed that these icebergs often contain sand, dirt and tree branches that are scrapped off the river banks as the icebergs are pushed out to sea in summer. Sometimes these icebergs also carry the carcasses of inner earth animals that accidentally fall into the ice and are frozen, such as the baby woolly rhinoceros that has now been discovered in Siberia.
A more sinister version of the story is that Byrd had an altercation with Nazi forces that overpowered them with their strange “flying machines.” It was said that the Nazis had gotten to the North Pole first and had already established a base there after reverse engineering alien spacecraft which had crash-landed in Germany. The Germans claimed to have also encountered human beings inside the Earth that were what Hitler would come to call “Aryan,” in nature or “the Master Race,” something he would later attempt to emulate in the Third Reich. A video has recently surfaced which shows a 1944 map from the Third Reich detailing not only the direct passageway used by German U-boats to access this subterranean domain, but also a complete map of both hemispheres of the inner realm of Agharta.
Hollow Earth Expedition is set in the 1930s. On the surface, everything appears as it does in our real world history books, but if you dig a little deeper you encounter secret societies and villainous organizations, many of whom have a vested interest in the Hollow Earth.
He devoted more of the book to somewhat plageristic tendencies in exceedingly long quotes of literature, but dumped genuine legends in the garbage and indeed deliberately avoided them, as certainly anyone who did this much research on hollow earth beliefs, MUST have been aware of the ancient legends.
