One particular topic which is well established within these circles of thought, is that of the idea of the existence of underground civilizations and secret bases operated either by advanced alien civilizations, by the descendants of Nazi Germany, by U.S. Government shadow organizations, or by ancient human or semi-human civilizations which fled
“There seems to be some force that’s trying to stop this happening,” he says. “I think it’s the international bankers. They don’t want the Inner Earth people messing around with their slaves, here on the outer world.”
The whole atmosphere seemed charged now with a certain air of urgency. After the cargo door was closed the aircraft was immediately lifted by that unseen force until we reached an altitude of 2700 feet. Two of the aircraft were alongside for some distance guiding us on our return way.
This Mercator’s map of the arctic appeared first as a vignette in his 1569 world map atlas. The arctic had yet to be explored at the time Mercator created his map and is, therefore, based upon commonly held beliefs about the region. Mercator’s map inspired explorers like the Englishman Martin Frobisher to seek a northwest passage to China.
Because on the 2nd Day of Creation, God created the firmament, heaven, or hollow expanse within the hollow earth: Genesis 1: 6 “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
When I contacted Mott, he told me, “I have good reason to believe that I have located Mr Thompson. He is not blind, nor has he ever been. In fact, he is passing himself off as a writer again.” Mott supplied a link to the self-published web-biography of an individual named Dallas W Thompson. This individual lived in the correct place, Bakersfield, California. Like our man, he’d spent a portion of his youth in Hawaii. He was also the author of a self-published book – a thriller called Eyes Wide Shut. A photograph shows a heavyset older man in a peach shirt staring directly in the camera in a way that strongly suggests someone who is not blind. But when I contacted him to request an interview about the Hollow Earth, he emailed back, “The Dallas Thompson you need to talk to is not me.”
Though Symmes himself never wrote a book about his ideas, several authors published works discussing his ideas. McBride wrote Symmes’ Theory of Concentric Spheres in 1826. It appears that Reynolds has an article that appeared as a separate booklet in 1827: Remarks of Symmes’ Theory Which Appeared in the American Quarterly Review. In 1868, a professor W.F. Lyons published The Hollow Globe which put forth a Symmes-like Hollow Earth theory, but didn’t mention Symmes. Symmes’s son Americus then published The Symmes’ Theory of Concentric Spheres to set the record straight.
Plato wrote of enormous subterranean tunnels both broad and narrow that made up the earth’s interior. Dr. Edmond Halley, of comet fame, believed that all heavenly bodies were hollow and in a speech before the members of the Royal Society of London stated that beneath the crust of the Earth, which is 500 feet thick, is a hollow void.
“More and more people are coming to terms with the fact that the Earth is hollow. I get emails from people learning about it every day. It’s definitely growing in popularity – certainly not in the millions but maybe in the thousands,” Cluff said.
He toured the US with a handmade wooden globe that opened out to reveal its secret layers. Converts, in ever increasing numbers, began petitioning the government to finance his adventures. On March 7 1822 Senator Richard Thompson presented a case to Congress that Symmes be supplied with “the equipment of two vessels of 250 to 300 tons for the expedition, and the granting of such other aid as Government may deem requisite”.
Byrd served on active duty during the First World War. He had the foresight to realize that aviation was going to expand rapidly in the next few years. Byrd volunteered to become a naval aviator, took flying lessons and earned his pilot wings in August 1917. He developed a passion for flight, and pioneered many techniques for navigating airplanes over the open ocean including drift indicators, the sun compass and bubble sextants.
But still, today, men grasp. One of them is Rodney M Cluff, author of World Top Secret: Our Earth IS Hollow! “I was working on a New Mexico farm when I was 16 and the farm manager’s son started talking about it,” he says. Fascinated, he began reading up. “I found evidence from the Scriptures, history and science that our Earth is hollow as well as all the planets and the moons and even asteroids.”

Indigenous Eskimos believe that there is a hole in the Arctic Ocean and observations by several Arctic explorers like Olaf Jansen and Rear Admiral Richard Evelyn Byrd, U.S.N., who claim to have seen mirages of exposed land near the North Pole, indicate that the most plausible location for an opening is located at 84.4 N Latitude, 141 E Longitude.
And yet, intuition is a lousy filter for science. Many decades before Abdelkader, another individual also suggested that the fundamental geometry of the Universe had been misunderstood and that a journey through space changes an object’s size. Einstein’s theory of relativity probably sounded almost as laughable as Hohlwelttheorie when first introduced. With his new models of time, space and gravity, humanity exited the age of intuition.
De Camp and Ley have claimed (in their Lands Beyond) that Leonhard Euler also proposed a hollow-Earth idea, getting rid of multiple shells and postulating an interior sun 1000 km (600 miles) across to provide light to advanced inner-Earth civilization (but they provide no references). However in his Letters to a German princess Euler describes a thought experiment involving a patently solid Earth.
“Admiral Byrd declared today that it was imperative for the United States to initiate defense measures against the possible invasion of the country by hostile aircraft operating from the polar regions. The Admiral stated, ‘I don’t want to frighten anyone unduly but it is a bitter reality that in the case of a new war the continental United States will be attacked by aircraft flying in from one or both poles.'”
For distinguishing himself conspicuously by courage and intrepidity at the risk of his life, in demonstrating that it is possible for aircraft to travel in continuous flight from a now inhabited portion of the earth over the North Pole and return.
That same decade a new theory about the hollow-earth appeared. It was the brainchild of Cyrus Read Teed. Teed proposed that the Earth was a hollow sphere and that people lived on the inside of it. In the center of the sphere was the sun, which was half dark and half light. As the sun turned it gave the appearance of a sunset and sunrise. The dense atmosphere in the center of the sphere prevented observers from looking up into the sky and seeing the other side of the world. Interestingly enough, Teed’s theory was hard for 19th century mathematicians to disprove based on geometry alone, since the exterior of a sphere can be mapped onto the interior with little trouble.
Byrd was born in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Esther Bolling (Flood) and Richard Evelyn Byrd Sr. He was a descendant of one of the First Families of Virginia. His ancestors include planter John Rolfe and his wife Pocahontas, William Byrd II of Westover Plantation, who established Richmond, and Robert “King” Carter, a colonial governor. He was the brother of Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator Harry F. Byrd, a dominant figure in the Virginia Democratic Party from the 1920s until the 1960s; their father served as Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates for a time.
Phoebe describes how she was taken in the Spirit by angels to the heart of the Sun where the New Jerusalem is being built. It will be brought to earth after the earth’s resurrection when the earth becomes celestialized and becomes the abode of the righteous. Since it is so big, 1,500 miles long, wide and high, it will probably take the place of the earth’s inner sun. Christ, on his Sermon on the Mount said the meek shall inherit the earth, and indeed they will! A mansion is being built there right now for each of us, in the New Jerusalem, by our actions here on earth. Phoebe was taken to visit her unfinished mansion by the angels of God, where she found her husband, who had already passed on. She then was brought back to earth to finish her life’s work.

In October 1989, Warren P. Aston on an expedition to look for the Land of Bountiful described by Nephi in the Book of Mormon, in looking for the most likely location on the southern coast of the Saudi Arabian peninsula — discovered a lush wooded inlet with fresh water, fruit trees, and iron ore that could be picked up from the ground — where Nephi and his brothers could very possibly have built their ship to migrate to America around 587 B.C. In a similar pilgrimage, our upcoming Voyage to Our Hollow Earth Expedition will attempt to locate the Lost Tribes of Israel in the North Countries of Our Hollow Earth — that the Book of Mormon records the resurrected Savior, in his visit to ancient America, said he would also visit when he said, “Other sheep I have, which are not of this fold. Them also must I bring, and they shall hear my voice; that there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” – John 10:16, 3 Nephi 15:17, 3 Nephi 17:4. The Savior at that time promised the Nephites that he would visit the Lost Tribes of Israel that had been led away by the Father out of the land of Jerusalem. We expect to find the Lost Tribes with their OWN scriptures relating the Savior’s visit to them after visiting the Nephite nation in ancient America. This will be a Third Witness to the World that Jesus IS the Christ, the Savior of the World — the first Witness being the Holy Bible, the second Witness being the Book of Mormon. — 2 Nephi 29, 2 Corinthians 13:1, Deut 19:15 Also listen to Apostle Dollin H. Labeled as ‘fringe ideas’ by most level-headed people, this study included an in-depth look into such areas as the Alien/UFO phenomenon, government conspiracy theories, New Age thought and other related topics. In undertaking this study, like most people, I was partially motivated by my own curiosity, as well as by a personal desire to expand my understanding of such matters so that I could write about them in a more knowledgeable fashion.
For example, in J.W. Buel’s, THE WORLD’S WONDER’S, we read that in 1799, a fisherman of Tongoose, named Schumachoff discovered a tremendous woolly mammoth preserved in a huge block of ice clear as crystal along the banks of the river Lena that empties into the Arctic Ocean from Siberia. When some of these animals were opened up, undigested green vegetation was found in their stomachs indicating that these animals froze so quickly that only shortly before they froze they had been able to find green vegetation to eat not too far distant from where they fell into the ice and were frozen. Olaf also explains in his book that the inner earth rivers that empty into the Arctic Ocean within the North Polar Opening is the origin of most the fresh-water icebergs that cover the Arctic Ocean. Many Arctic explorers noticed that these icebergs often contain sand, dirt and tree branches that are scrapped off the river banks as the icebergs are pushed out to sea in summer. Sometimes these icebergs also carry the carcasses of inner earth animals that accidentally fall into the ice and are frozen, such as the baby woolly rhinoceros that has now been discovered in Siberia.
Perhaps one of the most well-known books about hollow-earth is Jules Verne’s Journey to the Center of the Earth. The book illustrates a third theory of hollow-earth which is more plausible than the other two. This is that passages from the surface lead to caverns underground in which life thrives.
